The National Center for the 21st Century Schoolhouse supports the planning, design, and construction of school facilities from a learner-centered perspective through communication, research, and training. Established in mid-2000, the National Center serves as a source of ideas on school design and educational programming for educators, policy makers and design professionals. The National Center facilitates focused discussion of the interrelationships between educational programming and school design and disseminates the outcomes to interested parties.
America’s Schoolhouse Council was a founding partner of this institution, housed at San Diego State University.
